We were granted beautiful weather and a great time with the CSA members who came to our farm tour last week.

John Deck led the group through all the various enterprises of our very diverse farm: Creamy Cow dairy, chicken processing, baby pigs, Grazier's Garden, meat bird and laying hens on pasture, and beef and lamb grazing.

We also discussed the regenerative practices that make our farm beneficial to both the animals and the land, creating healthy and "good energy" food for us all to eat.

After the tour were joined by Deck family members, employees and students to enjoy farm-made snacks like pepperoni, jerky, cider and broth.

Erin Pasternack and her son Brooks Buckhantz were very interested in the student program.

"We had a great time and it was super inspiring. Please tell John we said thank you," said Erin. "We learned a lot and love the work happening at the farm - especially teaching [international] students who are bringing these practices back to their countries."

The young McGuffie family members kept up with the 2-hour walk and talk like real troopers! I think the strawberries were a nice mid-tour snack to encounter.

We hope you'll be able to join us on the next tour or contact us to set up a visit that suits your schedule. We love sharing our work with our community.
