Farm-to-Table Dinner 2024

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the annual dinner last week!


We had such a nice time that we have made ourselves a goal to host another in the spring. So be on the lookout for that announcement.


To pull something like this off on a working farm takes even more effort than usual. Our employees and students worked their regular day of farm chores and then also transformed their workspace into a cozy and welcoming venue for sharing with our customers. And all the dishes did eventually get washed over the next few days!


"I want to recognize how much extra work this was for all of you," said Joshua Purvis, our event coordinator, during the pre-event farm meeting. "You really stepped up and made this transformation possible. Thank you!"


It was obvious that the puppies, piglets and chicks were appreciated by kids and parents alike.


"I enjoyed hanging out the kids who were so excited by our 'multi-species hangout zone'," laughed farm student Genevieve Ortega. "The puppies were the overwhelming favorite but the piglets provided lots of entertainment, too."


"We had a great time," said Jackson Smith, CSA member. "Our 3 year-old was particularly excited about the whole experience and seeing all the animals. He's been talking about it ever since."


Rebecca Line, the CSA Operations Coordinator, enjoyed meeting more of our customers.

"We interact with these people weekly and hardly get to know any of them in person. It is really fun to put faces to names and get to know people a little more," she said.


CSA member Will Thysell brought a large party and said he is excited about the idea of a second dinner in the spring. "We'll be there whenever you do these. We always have a great time," he said.


Heaven Nunez, a new CSA member, was thrilled by her visit and by sourcing quality food. "We had a life-changing time and it helped our family so much to see and participate in the farm's livelihood," said Heaven.
