Waldorf-Inspired Learning at Deck Family Farm

We host the Earthsong Farm School and Camp at Deck Family Farm and registration is now open. Earthsong Farm School was founded and is run by certified Waldorf teacher, Heather Kidd.

Heather got to know the Deck family when teaching the youngest of the Deck's five children. She has run on-farm camps since 2009, and is now adding a homeschool-support program.

From her website: "Nothing brings [me] joy as consistently as walking this lovely acreage with a tangle of children in tow, watching their little bodies relax into the simple rhythm of farm life while discovering the wonders of nature, where they all can witness the goodness, beauty, and truth in our world first hand."

Both the camps and the homeschool program offer the kids time with farming and farm animals. Students do age-appropriate work and art projects, and spend time with some of the animals.

6 FULL WEEKS - Tuesday/ Wednesday/ Thursday from 11:00-4:00

Earthsong finds that offering three activity days in a row provides a healthy rhythm for the growing child to sink into as well as an ample amount of flexible, homeschooling family time - for academics and other adventures!
